Fanshawe Frolic

Attend our annual Fanshawe Frolic Dance Weekend August 5 and 6, 2017 featuring…

The Confederation Ball

Come learn to dance as the Fathers of Confederation would as they celebrated the formation of the Dominion of Canada in 1867. Led by Dance Mistress, Mme. Stephens. Workshops, country supper, ball, and Sunday afternoon family dance included.

Period costumes are encouraged but not required, no previous dance experience necessary. At the Saturday workshops, Dance Mistress and Historian, Mme. Cathy Stephens will teach all the basic and simple steps needed to dance at the ball. A country supper precedes the Ball. Authentic dance music of the era by the band ?
