Ontario's First Neighbourhood Powered by the Sun: West 5

Buildings that target net zero energy. Solar parkades, streetlights, and art installations. You may have noticed Sifton's West 5 development in London's west end. Here's your chance to learn more and ask questions about this future-minded community.

Hear about this ground-breaking project, 15 years in the making, from Maureen Zunti, Manager of Planning and Development at Sifton Properties Limited, and what it took to build it, from Neil Carter, Director of Commercial Construction at Sifton.

Dan Doroschenko, chair of the Byron Community Association, will also share his thoughts on what Sifton has brought to the Byron area.

We will be hosting all Green in the City sessions online via Zoom. These sessions aim to be informative and topical and will include opportunities to ask questions and share feedback.

Please register for this session through Eventbrite to receive the Zoom link. This event will be recorded and available for public viewing afterward.

Green in the City is a seminar series that explores local issues through a sustainability lens. Learn about lifestyle and behavioural changes that support the planet, London’s communities, and you! This is a free community event made possible by the London Environmental Network, London Public Library, and the City of London. See all past and upcoming events from the Green in the City series here.
